We are thrilled to introduce our flagship Pinot Noir, Storm Cloud Gibbston.

Named after the vessel that carried Thomas Kinross and his family from Perthshire, Scotland, to Port Chalmers, Otago on April 27, 1860. The Kinross family has played a significant role in the history of Gibbston, running a Trading Post on our site that supplied the valley for many decades.

Gibbston is the highest and coolest subregion in Central Otago, producing wines with lifted aromatics, bright acidity and red fruit and earthiness. This vintage shows classic character with vibrant purity, a touch of violet and layers of juicy plum and stewed rhubarb. Finely textured with long, velvet tannins. It’s a true to Gibbston Pinot Noir.

Aged 10 months in 30% new French oak.

Unfined and unfiltered. Vegan.

When Pinot Noir is served too warm or too cold, you may miss out on some of the subtler aspects of the wine.
Open this bottle 30 minutes to 1 hour before, if possible at 16 - 18 degrees Celsius. If it is too warm, put it in the fridge for 30 minutes before service.
