This wine was not born from design or intent. There was no roadmap or instructions. The wine was made purely from gut and instinct, allowing the wine to lead us rather than us leading the wine. Every step along the way, the wine reassured us that everything was fine and it was best to leave it well alone. So we did. We observed, tasted, listened and at each important step in the winemaking journey, we did what the wine was "telling" is to do. This wine is the result of following that inner light that at times is hard to articulate but is a feeling that we cannot ignore. For reasons unknown, we follow that light within, without knowing the outcome but trusting in the process following our gut. It is not a wine of numbers and science. It is a wine of feeling, of mystery and of pure joy. It may never happen again but we are delighted we had the opportunity in 2024 to let it happen.

Harvest summary:

Harvest came around frost free in march and April. The fruit ripened with ease and harnessed incredible flavours with huge potential. We picked on the exact day we wanted to rather than being dictated to by mother nature. This ensured we picked at optimum ripeness. harvested by hand and by clone, fermented by clone using natural yeast from the vineyard.

Intense aromas of dark cherries, cassis and florals. Very complex nose with an earthy, compelling aroma. On the palate the wine is broad and full of opulent red and dark fruit flavours. It has an abundance of soft, fine tannins that coat the entire mouth. A very long finish with restrained power.
