Central Otago Winemaking Excellence: Valli’s Mawson Chardonnay 2023 now at Kinross
We’re thrilled to introduce Valli’s Mawson Chardonnay 2023, now available at Kinross. Crafted from premium grapes grown in Central Otago’s renowned Highgrange Vineyard on Mt. Pisa, this wine perfectly captures the region’s unique terroir. With vibrant flavours and incredible purity, this limited-edition Chardonnay is a must-try for enthusiasts of Central Otago Chardonnay.
Valli’s Mawson Chardonnay 2023 is a beautiful example of the world-class wines produced in Central Otago. Grown at an elevation of 336-352 metres on Mt. Pisa, the vines, planted in 2007, thrive in Pisa's shallow sandy loam soils.
With a semi-continental climate and ideal conditions for grape ripening, the wine offers exceptional clarity and focus. Aromas of fresh citrus, lime zest, yellow apple, and white blossom mingle with hints of freshly baked bread, making it a wine of elegance and sophistication. Aged for nine months in barrel, this Chardonnay will continue to develop beautifully for over 13 years.
A Limited-Edition Central Otago Chardonnay Supporting New Zealand Conservation
Not only is Valli’s Mawson Chardonnay 2023 a stellar example of Central Otago Chardonnay, but it also supports conservation efforts. This includes funding for initiatives like Kiwi Avoidance Training for dogs, helping protect New Zealand’s iconic and endangered Kiwi. Enjoying this wine means contributing directly to these vital efforts while indulging in a world-class Chardonnay.
