Kinross ends partnership with Coal Pit, after nearly nine years of working together

2024 marks an incredible 40 years of winegrowing for our community here in Gibbston. It’s an absolute pleasure to stand among so many incredible wineries as we collectively raise the profile of our home.

Our unique relationship with our wine partners offers both parties collective strength and the ability to help each other grow and shine. We are so proud to support our wine partners in any endeavour, award, or evolution of their business.

I’m writing to let you know that as of the 1st November, we will end our partnership with Coal Pit, after a fantastic 8.5 years of working together. We know they will continue to shine in their next chapter, crafting some of our country’s finest single vineyard wines. Rosie, Hugo, Kate, Anika and the team have gained an impressive cabinet of trophies over the last few years and their BioGro certification last year is a clear indication that their pursuit of excellence sits not only with premium winemaking, but also an equal commitment to taking care of their land.

Coal Pit has played a key part in helping us grow to become the 2024 Qualmark Wine Tourism Winner and we are extremely grateful for their friendship and generosity.

We remain close friends and of course will continue to champion Gibbston together.

For Kinross fans of Coal Pit Wine, all orders will continue to be fulfilled until the last week of October. If you require contacts for Coal Pit, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

As we edge closer to the busy summer season, please keep an eye on your inbox for some great wine club member and general events happening… and its almost live music season again! As always, there are plenty of reasons to stop in for a visit.

Let’s catch up to swirl some wine together very soon!
