Kinross cottages are perfect for couples and families looking for a home away from home or wine lovers looking to immerse themselves in the heart of Gibbston. We have 14 near identical studio Cottage rooms all perfectly positioned for you to enjoy the tranquillity and views.

Kinross cottages are something a little different, only 25 minutes from Queenstown Airport and you will be completely surrounded by nature, greenery and the magical world of wine!

We lie under the Kawarau Gibbston Dark Sky Park where you’ll be mesmerised by the celestial beauty of the Southern Hemisphere. Gaze at the stars like never before—one of the few places on earth where you can marvel at both the Milky Way and the Aurora Australis (weather and season permitting).

Kinross is the official Cellar Door for Hawkshead, High Garden, Kinross, Valli and Wild Irishman: Five of the most stunning wine labels Central Otago has to offer, and all with vineyards neighbouring Kinross.

BREAKFAST

We are serving a gourmet breakfast box delivered to your room.

The kitchen team have created a beautiful breakfast box which incorporates a lot of our existing breakfast items and will be delivered to your room in the afternoon, ready for the next morning.  

For all of the coffee lovers, don’t worry, we have in-room Nespresso machines so you can get your coffee fix while enjoying your breakfast. Our Bistro will open at 10 am, so for those who prefer the barista coffee option, you can grab one then as you check out, before you set off on your adventures. If you have any dietaries please let us know prior to arrival so that we can cater your breakfast to suit you.

HOSTED WINE TASTING

Enjoy a 45 minute in depth hosted wine tasting at 4:30pm.

Expand your world of wine as one of our internationally qualified Wine Advisors immerses you in the Central Otago world of wine. Our wine tasting experience sample five wines from our renowned partners - Hawkshead, High Garden, Valli and Wild Irishman, as well as our very own Kinross wine.  

You will sample delicious wines as well as the stories behind the labels, the history of winemaking in our region and the talented people who create it! This is one of the highlights of a stay at Kinross and not to be missed.  

OUTDOOR HOT TUB

Soak up the southern sky and sip on your favorite drop in our outdoor hot tub. Nestled against the slope overlooking the vineyard, you are sure to unwind!

Our outdoor hot tub is a great way to relax after exploring the region with a glass of local wine in hand. There are limited spots available each day and so we do recommend booking your preferred time in advance to avoid any disappointment.

Bookings are essential and can be made directly with the team, reservations can be made between 3.00pm - 9.30pm for a 45 minute relaxation experience.

Please note that our Bistro is closed in the evenings. Guests staying in-house can order from our delicious evening takeaway menu prior to their 4:30pm in-house wine tasting and pick up their dinner afterwards at 5:30pm for enjoying in their room or anywhere on our beautiful grounds.
