Kinross 'The Prospector' Gibbston Home Vineyard Chardonnay 2024

Tasting Notes:
Crafted from our third harvest, this Chardonnay exhibits a vibrant nose of stone fruits, such as peach and nectarine, ginger, orange blossom, candied orange and tarragon. The palate continues with the stone fruits, with a lovely balanced acidity and weight. The oak provides a background toasty note, with a cream like texture, and fine, silky tannin. The wine is fresh and energetic, with great length and persistence to the finish.

We harvested only 1,650 bottles, using a blend of three different clones: one-third B95, one-third 548, and one-third Mendoza.

Hand-picked Gibbston Chardonnay fruit from 6 year old vines. The fruit was whole bunch pressed. Aged for 7 months in 30% new French oak.

Full malolactic fermentation. No fining.
