TASTING NOTES

Hand picked in bright sunny conditions from our Tūturi vineyard in Alexandra. Whole bunch pressed to tank and racked cloudy the next day to 5 barrels, 20% new oak (Burgundy). Ageing took 9 months to complete alcoholic fermentation. The wine was lee's stirred once during maturation to add texture and weight. Bottled unfined on the 24th January 2025.

A weighty single vineyard wine with an intense aroma of classic Sauvignon Blanc but with a much more complex array of aromas than you might expect. Hints of tropical fruit and nettle along with honey and minerality. The weight is balanced by the acid on the palate, which has intense flavours that coat the entire mouth. The wine can be enjoyed young where it will remain vibrant and fresh or cellared for enjoyment from now and over the next 5-10 years. Only 5 barrels made.
