Bright garnet in the glass, this wine opens with savoury aromatics, wild thyme, rosemary, fennel and mushroom, layered over notes of dark cherry, ripe strawberry and dried rose petals. The palate is compact yet flowing, with a clear sense of direction and purpose. Fine tannins and lifted floral perfume give a nod to its Gibbston roots, offering both elegance and intensity. Concentrated and expressive, this Pinot Noir is seriously drinkable now and will continue to evolve beautifully over the next 20 years.
